Jeremiah 1:4-7 NLT

4. The Lord gave me this message:

5. “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

6. “O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!”

7. The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say

whatever I tell you.

Prayer

Creator of the Universe, thank you for the intentionality and intimacy of Your creative process. Thank you for how you know every fiber of my being - physically and emotionally. Father, as you guide me to each stage of fulfilling my purpose on this side of Heaven, help me to surrender all of myself to You. May I accept your call and trust Your hand is at work for my good. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

What Is God Saying

He is establishing the intimacy in His relationship with us as the Creator and as the true appointer of purpose.

He is greater than our insecurities or expectations of what it means to say “yes” to Him. ( It is funny how we think we can tell God something He doesn’t know like somehow He will remove the purpose on our lives because we have an excuse – like a doctor’s note to remove us from gym LOL).

What Is The Response

Fear/ Anxiety –“ I can’t” is the response that Jeremiah has. Immediately, his response is ‘I hear you, Father, BUT…”

What Does That Have To Do With Me?

We cannot allow our BUTs to get in the way of God’s Better for us

What do you see in the text. Let talk about it!
