Matthew 15:13-14
13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
Root Check: Benevolent Father, thank You for bringing us into a new calendar year. Thank You for keeping us through the last year and for everything that you brought us through! Thank You for everything that You gave us. As we navigate this new year, or even this new day, Father, help us to reflect. Help us to check our hearts and ensure that they are deeply rooted in You. May we not get swept away in resolutions or hopes for better things. May we simply delight in a life that is overflowing with You and led by You. In Jesus’s name I pray all of these things, Amen.
